The magnificent phone, HTC Magic, is something that its owners are proud of, to say but the least but they are wondering when they’ll be blessed with the Sense UI. Users in Taiwan have been bestowed with it but the rest of the world is still waiting. The company is promising though that HTC Magic will get Sense UI pretty soon, for the rest of the world as well. Magic phones which have been launched by other companies might suffer as this update has been made available by HTC only.

That includes branded phones and phones like “with Google” too, which, no matter how expensive, won’t be able to avail this luxury. There are a few formalities and nitty gritties like licensing restrictions which come in the way of this update, otherwise the hardware should not have any problem handling it much. Some users have claimed that they have been having some problems regarding the HTC Magic version with 192MB RAM but that version which has a RAM of 288MB is smart enough to even get close to the popularity of Hero! In Brazil though, HTC Magic comes equipped with the Sense UI, as in in-built! This is one bit of info that needs to be gotten confirmed, but if this is anything to go by, users in other parts of the world wouldn’t have to wait a lot for the upgrade.

Another bit of news worth mentioning is that HTC is now officially working on its first ever Android 2.0 phone, even though the news hasn’t been confirmed by Google as yet. Now at this point another very important question arises, will the existing phones will also be upgraded to the v2.0 or will this be limited to the new phone only? If we look at the phones that can be upgraded, the Acer Liquid and Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica seem to be the most likely choices. Nothing much can be said about the G1 because of its slow CPU though. Let’s now keep our fingers crossed and see what technology brings to us!
