Go pop with LG GD510 Pop!October 1st, 2009 - 07:11 pm by Wajiha H.
After the tremendous success of the LG KP500 Cookie, LG now is going to go ahead with the launch of the new LG GD510 Pop to cash on the former’s success. The Company is highlighting the set’s 3-inch touchscreen bar as its strongest point. We have to keep in consideration the size of the LG KP500 Cookie as well, which when you compare with this one, was too minute.
![]() On a recent LG consumer research it was eventually found out that people love the concept of a full touchscreen phone if especially it’s also affordable. With this you usually get yourself a high-end handset, but without any extra features, of course you don’t even need most of them in practical life. After all LG Prada, claimed by them to be the first fully touch screen phone, was designed by LG so this should not come as a surprise. LG GD510 Pop is extremely simple to use, is only equipped with one button that in turn performs various functions. The same button can be used as Call or End key, Menu or Cancel key, you just have to learn to distinguish between the green or red button at the end. As far as the exterior goes, the LG GD510 Pop has a brushed aluminum frame and an extra thin bezel, of only 4.8 mm, around the screen which some say is inspired by the use of it on TV sets. The screen comes with a 3" diagonal and WQVGA resolution (240 x 400 pixels). The internal memory of this phone is spacious, of around 8GB. It also sports an inbuilt 3MP camera. There's still not much that is known about the accurate specs of the LG GD510 Pop, but still if you take a look at the pictures that have recently been released by the company, you can observe that a special back cover with the solar panel could be coming with the set. As always the set will first be released in the markets of Europe, somewhere around mid-October. It will soon be hitting the other markets after that. It is also being expected that the price will be decided according to the individual market and nothing can be said beforehand. You can read more about it here |
