The much awaited, elegantly designed but mainly business-oriented Blackberry Bold 9700 has finally shown its face to the general public and is very much here. It is going to be hitting the markets somewhere in November and T-Mobile and AT& T have been chosen to the honours. Rumours have it that Bold could very much be available in Germany and Canada even earlier, but that has not been confirmed yet.

We all know what BlackBerry Bold 9700 is made of strictly technically speaking; the specifications started roaming around all over the internet from as early as last spring. The images, details and even the pictures are everywhere and almost everyone knows what to expect of the set now.

Rumours are correct here as well, the Bold 9700 is more or less the same as RIM's Bold 9000 but the size is a bit smaller, thus making it a more compressed package. The most significant specs are mainly the device's support for Wi-Fi/UMA, or voice-over-Wi-Fi calling, new, optical trackpad" for navigation; GPS; 256MB of Flash application memory (double the app memory of the Bold 9000); and RIM's BlackBerry handheld OS 5.0 which is going to be a first in any Blackberry, so we really need to cross our fingers for that one.

Camera is nothing special, the same 3.2-megapixel camera as RIM'sCurve 8900 and Tour 9630. BlackBerry’s are not very famous for their cameras anyway. It runs on something that is being touted as the "next-generation (624-MHz) processor.
One thing that is particularly worth remembering is that the Bold 9700 will be T-Mobile's first 3G BlackBerry!

It’s a Blackberry so it doesn’t come at affordable terms; the price is somewhere around $200 along with a new service agreement at launch, no matter what the carrier is. RIM's Bold 9700 has been announced by the company just a week after the announcement of its latest touch-screen device, the BlackBerry Storm2 with Vodafone, UK.
