Everybody is deeply intrigued about the new Microsoft Project Pink which is the supposed development of new phones in the Microsoft labs, and has been kept quite well hidden from the public eyes. But of course there is always a way by which such information leaks through and so we have been able to get our hands on the first few leaked pictures of one of the phones. These are Turtle and Pure for you and just like the names, the pictures promise originality to the very core!

It has long been suspected that Microsoft was in the process of developing a Zune phone, hugely based on its Zune players' multimedia platform but no relevant evidence has been found by anyone as yet to support the fact. Both Turtle and Pure are slider phones equipped with the highly appreciated QWERTY keyboards and one of these has a touch screen. Not much information about them has been released as yet but the pictures are here for you to enjoy!

It is being said that the phones are going to be manufactured by Sharp and co-branded by Microsoft. Sharp was the manufacturer of the Sidekick family for Danger as well which was then acquired by Microsoft a little over two years ago. As Pinks are targeting the same audience as the Sidekicks, the reason for Sharp’s heavy involvement can thus be explained to a great extent.

We can say with surety that a younger audience is the target of these handsets. The design of hardware tells it all. Turtle has this feeling to it as if it’s a child's Palm Pre, whereas when you take a look at Pure, it actually looks like a standard slider. Both have been made of plastic and have an exacting roundedness which adds to the overall beauty of the phones.

Also these handsets could be supporting the Zune services but nothing can be said with surety at this moment. But only an official announcement can be trusted with such details.
