Review of Samsung Blue Earth S7550September 1st, 2009 - 09:12 pm by Wajiha H.
A phone that is created with environmental protection in mind, Samsung Blue Earth completely justifies its name. The whole handset has been made with recycled materials and the device features a solar panel which will extend its battery life. Now in addition to this, the phone also features a 3-inch touch sensitive screen, TouchWiz interface and some features which will increase its attraction to you as users. So this environmentally conscientious phone has a tremendously lovely surface texture which does not make you feel that you are using something that has been made with recycled matter.
![]() Nothing that has been used in the production of this phone can be termed as harmful. True to its name, Samsung Blue Earth S7550 comes in a haunting blue color with a 3-inch screen that is extremely sensitive thus high quality. The send and end keys located just below the display add a personal yet casual touch to the phone. The keys are not back lit quite understandably. There is an all-in-one microUSB port which allows the users to easily connect their handset to a computer whilst charging it or plugging in a pair of headphones. This multipurpose USB port has been a very well-appointed feature of the handset. There is a good 3-megapixel camera on the back of the set but the thing that is going to captivate your eyes is the solar panels which consume most of the back panel. They are there to remind you of the fact that this device is ecologically oriented. The concept of incorporating an alternative power source in the set and doing it with such class has been the strongest point of this phone. Of course the inclusion of the solar panel means that the battery life will be extended and not reduced. How successful or unsuccessful this set has been will be seen in the future when the set officially gets into the market but for the time being Samsung needs to be given a pat on the back for coming up with a device that is good for the worsening environmental situation in the world.
