LG Android to be released this year

It has recently been announced by the Korean Electronics Giant LG that an Android mobile phone will be released by it around Christmas. The inside details were made available on the internet soon after its release announcement was made. LG has also announced that the rebranded handset will go on sale in 'selected European markets' sometime during the fourth quarter. Only last week, some pictures of their new phone Viewty Smart (GC 900) were accidently leaked out on their German blog. An upgrade to their original phone Viewty, people are betting on it being perfect for an Android version.

Out of the many outstanding features of the original Viewty included a Schneider lens and the phone was capable of capturing video at 120 frames a second. Updated features of the new Android version will include; 12.4mm thickness of the lens, light-weighted of only around 90g, 8-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, 32GB storage space, video recording at up to 720×480 pixels resolution, 3in touch screen WVGA display and a GPS, WiFi, HSDPA connectivity. The Viewty Smart also supports HSDPA connectivity which is also used around the world by OHA carriers T-Mobile, Vodafone, and NTT DoCoMo.

The images that were leaked on the internet also include an orange carrier logo of a company that is rumored to be releasing multiple Android handsets in 2009. But the thing that can be said for sure right now is that the new Android phone by LG is will hit the markets in the whole world around Christmas time this year.
