Facebook has recently announced that a new version of Facebook's iPhone application is going to be released shortly after approval from Apple; the version which will allow video uploads from the iPhone 3GS. The hugely popular social networking company also said its Facebook for iPhone 3.0 update contains around fifteen new features which will enable the users to add favorite profiles and pages, easily access search and notifications and create and zoom into new photo albums.

You will also find it very convenient to call or text/sms contacts from the Friends page and also can continue a message even if you are interrupted by a phone call. There is a new home screen with a News Feed that is very much like the one on Facebook's site supporting many of Facebook’s features e.g. "Like," Events (including the ability to RSVP), Notes and Pages.

According to Joe Hewitt, "Everything that used to scroll slowly now scrolls like butter. 3GS video uploading for the Facebook iPhone app is a go -- didn't plan to include it in the 3.0 update, but it was really easy to code."
