Sprint Customers to get access to Corporate mail through Sprint Mobile Email WorkJune 25th, 2008 - 03:07 am by 0
If you are a client of Sprint Nextel soon you will get hold of a novel mobile access to your corporate email account but it will only on selective non-PDA Sprint phones like the new Instinct from Samsung. Besides an easy access to Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Lotus Notes accounts will be available through Sprint Mobile Email Work, which will broaden its present network to personal email accounts from popular Web-based providers.
To the experts, this is the continuation of the present access of Sprint Mobile Email to personal email accounts from reputed Web-based providers like AOL, Gmail, Windows Live and Yahoo! Mail. On the other hand, as has been learnt, Sprint Mobile Email Work will bring forth more innovative features for the benefits of consumers of flip phones like Instinct and other non-PDA phones. These features will enable them to get hold of both their corporate and personal email in one simple application but against no additional charge according to several Sprint pricing plans. Speaking on this Kevin Packingham, Senior Vice President of Product and Technology Development for Sprint, stated, "Sprint Mobile Email Work will allow customers to read and respond to their business email and look up work contacts from a wider variety of Sprint phones, including the new Instinct. With combined access to corporate and personal email in a single application on popular consumer-friendly phones, Sprint customers can increase productivity and stay connected whenever and wherever they want." It is to be noted that Sprint Nextel went through a period of methodical working with SEVEN towards the creation of Sprint Mobile Email Work. This enables the clients to access Microsoft Exchange Server 2000, 2003 or 2007 accounts, or IBM Lotus Domino accounts. However, it must be stated, the entire process is simple and happens to be a one-time setup. Sprint Mobile Email Work is preloaded on the Instinct which lets customers go for Email on the main Menu to get to Sprint Mobile Email. This is to be followed by clicking the Work tab and entering into the zone of their server information, user name and password. In the end the emails, may be in bulk, are pushed to the consumer’s phone as soon as they arrive in the mailbox of desktop. Now, if you are the user you can also avail the same and can therefore go through the necessary functions of reading, storing, replying or even deleting. Bear in mind that all these changes are made through the Sprint phone and are mechanically contemporized with the desktop mailbox of the user. To conclude Sprint Mobile Email Work will also be available on 11 Sprint phones apart from Instinct by Samsung in the coming days. They include Rumor(TM) and Fusic(TM) by LG(R); the RAZR, RAZR2 and KRZR by Motorola; the A900, A900M and M500 by Samsung(R); and the Katana(R), Katana(R) II and 8400 by Sanyo(R).
